Super Easy Apple Crisp

The original recipe called for Hob Nobs, a popular hybrid Digestive/Oatmeal biscuit found in the UK. I found them pretty easily here in Toronto but… so, I tried a few variations and fell onto Oatmeal Raisin Cookies… the results as my friends in Britain say ‘were lush!’

Dad’s Brown Butter Sole

To make Sole Meunière dredge the fillet first in flour and then cook it in an easy to make sauce of brown butter, chopped parsley and lemon. The flour and butter combine to make a beautiful brown crust and the parsley and lemon produce a subtle, not at all fishy flavour.
